The first talk took place in the wonderful surroundings of the Great Hall of Bedford School on Monday 22 September 2014.  The inaugural speaker, Philomena Liggins, who is a volunteer at Bletchley Park, shared her research into the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY) in an engaging and informative talk that took us from the early days of the Yeomanry in 1907 through their exploits during WW1 and beyond. Ms Liggins had a delightfully light but knowledgeable style of delivery which meant that her 45 minute talk sped by, leaving us all wanting more…
